Artist, Ryan Lang, has created these supremely cool character portraits from Disney’s Gargoyles, my favorite cartoon series from the 90’s.  He’s finally finished Demona, one of the most compelling characters from the series!  I’ll update this set as he does more.

Gargoyles was the first show I watched with a multiracial female protagonist (Elisa Maza), the first show in my childhood to take kids seriously with deep, complex plots, and the first show to introduce me to Shakespeare AND mythology all in one punch.

They just don’t make them like they used to!

We Will Keep Most of You Safe (tweet this), 2013

This is essentially my love song to Welcome to Night Vale.

It is approximately 20x26”. It started as a design for their t-shirt contest and then escalated from there. I am not quite sure how to submit this to them—as a poster, perhaps—or whether it would be arrogance to do so. When I figure out what the correct etiquette for that is, I will do that.

I love this podcast and its commentary on surveillance, upbeat police state reminders, and living in fear vs escapism. It is important to ruminate on such things, and it is notable when media/entertainment does not shy away from them.

Khans of Tarkir Clans | Dragons of Planar Chaos

With the colors of the clans revealed and Tarkir being a plane of Dragons; then it would be nice if the legendary dragons of Planar Chaos finds their way into this warring world.

I'm always Jean. And I'm always the Phoenix. I died.
I scattered in a trillion directions.
And then I started to pull together again.
But I'm starting to see now...
Parts of me never came home.
